We use the acronym of Bizet to abbreviate a Bio Economic Zero waste Technology. The Bizet.Bee.Board® (pronounced busy bee board) is a representation of all our teams core beliefs in one.

The Bizet.Bee.Board® app and interactive display was created to be the central location for day to day living. We like to think of it as a simple to use and complex canvas for all your needs in one space. It stems from our kitchen table, where we first drew our designs and ideas on our touchscreen, our calendar on the wall, our children’s art on the fridge, what we had as plans for dinner, where we had left something we needed to do for work but had to entertain the children.

Something big enough and in multiple rooms and where we could just grab the next thing we needed and not have to go back to getting out a tablet, pc, or wait for an on demand streaming TV to load while a video call was ending.

We needed something that we could have in every location but still have all the parental controls when needed to not let the kids onto the wrong websites or the banking information or buy something on an ecommerce store.

From education needs for children, a meeting room solution for office workers, a centralized location to place all your apps open in one place at one time on one fully interactive 40 point touch screen we wanted the solution to be a family orientated touchscreen surface for us to all simple have more time for each other, have fun and not have to panic when setting up a meeting or making a call we needed things to just work straight away.

We decided to make our display items to suit our ethos, to be repairable we wanted to purchase materials that have been already made, but then we understood quite quickly we would be able to assemble them more reliably if we sourced from components that are to be recycled.

There were so many already made items, usually items thrown aside and unable to be reused or repaired due to their original non sustainable management. We wondered if we could be state of the art or just take what others may see as electrical waste and make new.

We are proud that all our displays are made in recycled material metal cases.

The metalwork, solder, and all materials are sourced sustainably.

Something we want is to make sure that we created a really simple interface called the Bizet.Bee.Board® app to engage all your needs in one centralized location.

You can open all apps in one location so you can take a Zoom/Team/Googlemeet call at the same time as take notes, leave an episode of your favourite kids show playing and still get a recipe on screen for dinner.

So, why the word Bizet and not just call it Busy bee?

As busy individuals we need to all try to enjoy the beautiful world around us without getting lost in the world of excess if we are to live more sustainably.

Georges Bizet wrote the beautiful and melodie music of the opera Carmen. Based on the story by Prosper Mérimée’s, Carmen is the tale of an unscrupulous gypsy woman who seduced the naive soldier Don Jose into a world that was too much for him- a world full of immorality, lawlessness, excess and deceit.

The production of Bizet's final opera Carmen, was delayed because of fears that its themes of betrayal and murder would offend audiences. After its premiere on 3 March 1875, Bizet was convinced that the work was a failure; he died of a heart attack three months later, unaware that it would prove a spectacular and enduring success. It really shows you along with the pandemic faced from 2019 just how we must treasure life for all our time is short.

When we first as a family moved into our home we had come from a life of luxurious living. We had produced pop up events for DJ’s such as Deadmau5 in London. Driven Mclarens, had city jobs. Worked on design and delivery of television productions, such as X Factor, The Voice, Strictly Come dancing, Who wants to be a Millionaire, Big Brother, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway to music shows for Take That & Robbie Williams, and parties in Monaco, Cannes or festivals such as Coachella.

We know that with the planet needing a brighter future that we should help our children to learn about sustainability and focus on the essentials of life. Be it nutritional meals grown from our gardens or using solar power rather than rely on wood burners to heat our homes.

Our technology therefore would need to be designed in such a way as to reduce waste as well as your total cost of ownership.
